On Wednesday, students received a handout entitled "Chapter 1 Study Guide" to complete over the first chapter of Animal Farm. We discussed the chapter first, and then students began the assignment. These will not be turned in until the day of the corresponding quiz, but they will count as a grade. The handout is attached below.
Thursday and Friday I will be elsewhere in Norman attending AVID Path Training, and all sections will have a substitute. To encourage the best possible behavior and avoid class management issues, I am leaving/assigning more work than I would ordinarily in a two day span, all of which will count as a grade. - Read through chapter 4 in Animal Farm
- Complete chapters 2-4 study guide (1 should already be done)
- Complete Russian Revolution handout
- Complete Complex Sentences handout (see packet below: it will say "Complex Sentences #3" at the top, so look only for the one page containing that title and complete only said page)
- Identify a word for each Latin root on lists 1-2 (slides 2-3 of the powerpoint attached) that contains said root.
